The Japan Cosmetic Center is a cosmetic cluster located in Karatsu city (Saga prefecture, North-West Japan).
We are made up of more than 130 companies, and we work to boost the competitiveness of the cosmetic sector through innovation, internationalization, networking, and support for sustainable development, this throughout the entire value chain of the beauty and health sector.
To stimulate the local economy by utilizing regional resources, through the cooperation and the technology of both local businesses and academic institutions, and to establish a support system to promote the expansion of local Japanese companies into global markets.
Thanks to the strong network of our member companies and the partnership with other international cosmetic clusters and associations, we want to promote Japanese natural cosmetics and related businesses to the rest of the world.
1) Overseas export support projects
Support JCC members and local industries in expanding export channels and creating manufacturing bases. Includes joint exhibitions, matchmaking events with international clusters, Asia exportworkshops, and collaboration with external organizations (e.g., KOTRA, TAITRA).
2) Domestic cosmetics market development
Assist JCC members and Kyushu-based
cosmetics in building domestic sales channels and establishing high-value local
brands through events, exhibitions, and product development support.

Promote research partnerships between universities and member companies, fostering new technologies and industry-relevant human resource development.
2) Member network & support
Provide targeted support for member companies through seminars, networking, and consultations to address business needs and opportunities.
3) Overseas cluster cooperation
Strengthen JCC’s global reach by collaborating with the Global Cosmetics Cluster (GCC) and other international partners.
4) Support for locational start-up activities
Encourage regional industrial clustering by attracting domestic and international companies with growth potential in the area.

2) Local raw material development support
Support regional branding through the cultivation of local cosmetic ingredients, addressing community challenges like farmland abandonment.
With our long-term partnership with 6 International Cosmetic Cluster and the recent partnership with the Global Cosmetics Cluster network, of which we are proud to be among the founding members, we aim to become the Japanese reference for our international partners and cosmetic network.
