The Japan Cosmetic Center (JCC) (Karatsu, Saga Prefecture) is pleased to announce that Shinji Yamasaki, President of Bloom Co Ltd, has been appointed Chairman as of 22 June 2022.
Former Chairman Alban Robert Müller will become an advisor and under the new structure, the company will work even harder to create an international cosmetics cluster in Northern Kyushu.
■ Profile of Shinji Yamasaki
Born in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture in 1957, Yamasaki joined Akamizu Ltd. in 1976 and worked hard to take over his family’s business; in 1989, he opened a private audio equipment sales business; in 1990, he opened his own private tutoring preparatory school “Fukuroku Gakujyuku-kan”; in 1991, he established Bloom Co Ltd. He is a member of the Karatsu Rotary Club, a regular member of the Karatsu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and has been actively involved in the revitalization of the local economy, serving for eight years as chairman of the Karatsu Tourist Association.

The Japan Cosmetics Center (JCC) is a general incorporated association and cosmetic cluster that aims to develop a business environment in the cosmetics field through collaboration between industry, academia, and government.
The ultimate goal is to stimulate the local economy by utilizing regional resources, through the exchange of diverse human resources and the accumulation of technology, and to establish a system to promote expansion into global markets.
The center will also promote the development of the cosmetics industry in Saga Prefecture, centered on Karatsu City and Genkai Town, and in Northern Kyushu, by building a promotion system to expand into global markets.
